What kind of content do you create?
Monocello Media & Communications, LLC can help you produce copy for a number of different applications. Some content types include:
- Case studies
- White papers
- Thought Leadership articles
- Web site copy
- Product brochures
- Ad copy
- Marketing collateral
If you have other projects in mind, we're certainly open to discussing the nature and scope of the work. Call Mike at (814) 806-3652 or email [email protected].
What kind of benefits can I see from your content creation?
The effectiveness of your content is based on numerous factors. One of those factors is the type of content. Blogs, white papers, and web site content will all contribute to your company's (or individual associate's) standing as a thought leader. Case studies will illustrate your unique positioning problem-solving capabilities in the markets in which you serve.
Regardless of content type, you should expect to see an increase in web traffic from the initial promotion of each new piece of content. Long term, the consistent addition of focused content will lead to higher ranking in search and, therefore, a boost in traffic.
Beyond traditional web site promotion, we subscribe to the idea of maximizing the impact of every piece we create to get the most ROI. For example, once created, a single case study or white paper can be:
- Posted to your web site, building your Google relevance on keywords specific to your business and region
- Shared via your newsletter to customers and prospects
- Sent to prospects via email and snail mail
- Shared on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more
- Published to the industry trade publications and web sites your customers read for research (In fact, I will submit it consideration on the appropriate Jameson Publishing/VertMarkets Web portal (click here for the complete list of markets served)
- Sent to your partners for them to share via their newsletters, etc.
- Sent to your local newspaper and television stations as a story idea
- Sent to your local chamber of commerce for distribution in its publication
How long does it take to generate content?
The typical process includes:
- Planning call(s) to discuss your goals
- Interviews with you (and your customer if applicable)
- Draft submissions until you approve the final product
- Layout of content in a professional PDF containing your logo, contact info
This length of time needed to produce the content depends greatly on your availability to plan, interview, and review submissions. Typically, a project can be turned around within two weeks, although rush jobs are not out of the question.
What makes you different from other freelancers?
I'll be honest, you will be able to find cheaper writers online. The trouble with many freelancers is that they lack the subject-matter knowledge and the years of experience writing about IT and the business of selling IT that I have accumulated over the past 20 years. Therefore, it's typical to hear companies say that they tried a cheaper alternative but spent too much of their own time first educating the freelancer on their business and industry and then spent more time later editing the content to sound intelligent. With Monocello Media & Communications, we can begin creating impactful content for you immediately.
Here are some of the topics on which I have experiencing writing:
- Access control
- AIDC (data collection)
- Bar code scanners
- Cloud computing
- Field service
- Law enforcement
- Managed services, RMM, BDR
- Manufacturing & Logistics
- Mobile computing
- Payment/Merchant processing
- Point of sale
- Video surveillance
- Visual commerce
Can you help us generate ideas for content?
Absolutely! My past experience and current roles at Business Solutions magazine and SCAN: The Data Capture Report put me directly in the center of current events in the IT world. I speak with vendors, resellers/MSPs, software developers, and their end customers all the time and have a holistic view of current trends and what topics resonate.
Are your writing services confidential?
Absolutely. Any discussions about your marketing strategies and customers are deemed confidential and will never be shared with another client or general public. Additionally, many customers employ me for ghost writing, and that fact remains confidential as well.
Can we use your name in the byline of the content we create?
If you'd like to use my name in the byline to add credibility to an article, we'll need to discuss the topic of the article and specific content. Generally speaking, there is no issue with using my name in a byline for case studies and white papers. Blogs and heavily-opinionated pieces are where things get murky.
Can you help us distribute the content you create?
My position at Business Solutions magazine puts me in a great position to help distribute your content. Business Solutions is part of the Jameson Publishing/VertMarkets publishing company. As such, I am able to recommend distribution on the company's various Web portals (click here for the complete list of markets served) and have a high degree of success in getting content accepted. Once posted to the various sites, Google Syndication will help your content spread to a wider audience. There's also a chance your content will be featured in one of the company's newsletters.
Please note, there is no lead capture component to any content distribution I provide. If you want lead capture, I can connect you with a Jameson sales rep who can help you find the program that works for you.
